In order to continue further, I need to level up an item to level ten. I decided to try with a basic monster claw. I actually managed to go to level 10 in one go, but I couldn’t complete it, so I had to use an escape item. I’ll return there later with my entire party. Off course, I managed to subdue a few specialists while traveling there, so I can now transfer them to another item, since this one is completely useless.

Awesome! I finished the second episode of the story, so now I have an Angel Trainee in my party. Aditionally, I haven’t mentioned that I have a Warrior named Idiot, and a Cleric named Generic Healer in my party. The “Idiot” is just so the game can call him an incompetent idiot when I try to delete him, and the “Generic Healer” is so I can point out that I have only one use for her. I just love the game and the fact that you’re playing the, for now, evil side.

This is the game I’ve been waiting for. It’s every bit as great as the PS2 version, except there’s fewer voices here. I’ve completed the tutorial, created a fighter and a cleric pupil and got all the way to the first boss level. There, I got my ass handed to me by his minions (the mage is a pain). Then I started training for a while, and got some nice items. I will try my luck again tonight.

After returning to the Copper Coronet, I dumped Nalia and took Korgan with me. He needed to recover a book from a tomb in the graveyard district. In there, I had to fight a bunch of mid to high level undead. After realizing someone took the book before us, we decided to visit the buyer in an attempt to beat the culprits to him. We’ve found him dead in his home. Korgan said this is probably the work of his former companions. We’ve found them on the roof of the Copper Coronet and disposed of them. I got the book and sold it to the nearest store. After this, I replaced Korgan with Anomen.

Shrotly after I took Anomen with me, we got news of his sisters’ death. We went to his family estate in the government district, where his father claimed she was murdered by another merchant. I managed to talk Anomen out of avenging his sister. This is best left to the authorities.

Afterwards, I went to the Bridge district where I solved a series of murders. The culprit was a local tanner, but he managed to escape. Since I’ve found elephant hide linked to him, I should ask someone about where one might acquire something like this.

EDIT: I went to Windspear Hills, where I was supposed to kill some demi-humans that where pillaging the local villages. It turns out lord Firkraag used an illusion to make me kill some temple knights. Now I have to find him to clear my name.

Since my laptop is bugging me (it’s overheating), I decided to play this classic while I wait for the repairs. This is one of my favorite games, but I never manage to complete it. This time, I decided to play with an archer which is a ranger character kit. I escaped Irenicus’ dungeon, Imoen was taken by the Cowled Wizards, and I got the quest to collect 20000 gold to save her. I freed Aerie from the circus, and took Nalia with me to help her family. Before I went to her castle, I took down a slaving organization in the slums. I also got a talking sword on the way.

My archer is really kicking but right now. Most of the enemies are not immune to standard arrows and, since I attack really fast, they usually fall before they reach me. By the time I reach stronger enemies, I’ll try to find a steady source of enchanted arrows.

I didn’t expect to finish it so soon. The first two planets where long, but the final few where very short. I defeated the alien with dancing, and it wasn’t that hard. After completing it, I can now replay each planet on its own. There isn’t much point to it though except to collect some extra parts. My final level was 32. It’s a nice game, but not even the same genre as the PC version.

I decided to try this one while I’m waiting for the PC version. It’s pretty sweet. Basicaly, you wander around, fight and befriend other creatures and solve tasks all of which grants you parts you can put on your creature. It isn’t as complex as on the PC, but it looks nice, and there is allot of parts.

I cleared the first planet and got on the second one. I unlocked a bunch of new parts and a whole lot of achievements. Compared to the way I started, my creature is much stronger now. The game is fun and simple, which is all that matters. The graphics also look very nice of a DS game.

I’m writing this a few minutes after midnight. I got this game hoping it would be a nice hack & slash and I didn’t get disappointed. Basically, it’s Diablo for the DS, but not as good. The story pretty much sucks, but the game play is decent. The game is divided in chapters, and every chapter has four levels, the fourth being the boss level. After you finish one chapter, another one opens, but you can go back on previous levels and train. You can get a skill from every enemy, so this is what you use as your attacks.

My character is a ranged spell caster with most of his stat points put in intelligence. I’m level 29 and I’ve just completed chapter five. I don’t know how big the game is, but I’m hoping it isn’t too big. The last boss I fought was Cerberus (except this one had two heads).Because of the different possible character builds, there is some replay value, but the lack of items kind off kills it. Anyway, I’ll continue to play tomorrow.

Completed!

Well, this was fast and easy. It turns out, there are eight chapters in the game. I got trough the remaining three this morning. As a reward, I got a ring that gives nice stat bonuses and absorbs all four of the elements. The last boss was a breeze with my Diamond Dust attack. If anyone wants to have an easy time with this game, use a spell caster. It’s hard until you get your first thousand gold. Then you buy your first overpowered ranged spell and this is what you will probably be using till the end. The first time I switched spells was chapter 8.

I can still revisit all of the areas, and I think the enemies are a bit tougher, but that’s about it. It’s a nice, fun, short game, but it’s nothing special. However, if you like Diablo, this is probably the closest you’ll get on the DS.
