I had a lot of work to do for the last month, and I still do. Plus, the European soccer championship started, so I spend what little free time I have watching the games. I did play some games also tough. I finally have my DS operational again, so I’m mostly playing all the DS games I planned. I finished Ninja Gaiden (I had to play from the beginning), and I recently also completed Summon Night Twin Age. It’s a hack & slash game similar in style to Diablo. It’s nowhere nearly as good as Diablo, but it isn’t bad either. I finished the main story in about 12 hours, and completed the Ex chapters in about 2 and a half hours. I also started playing Super Mario 64 DS. It’s a great remake, and the graphics are actually better then on the Nintendo 64. I got about 35 stars collected, and have also unlocked Mario (you start the game with Yoshi). I tried some miscellaneous other games, but none of them are good enough to mention. I have about two weeks of exams left, and after that I will be spending most of my time playing games that got released recently. I promise I’ll try to post more often…

Another one is completed. I’ve played this game all day today, so I’m finally done. There are still flags to collect, but since I don’t really get much from doing it, I don’t think I’ll bother. This was definitely one of the top games this year. Everything about it was great (except for the ending which screams for a sequel). There are a total of nine contracts which are executed in three cities, each divided in three districts. There’s a spinoff in the end, but I won’t say what it is to avoid spoilers. Another one goes to the “Completed” list!

I installed this game a few days ago, but haven’t started to play it until yesterday. Today, I finished it. I didn’t get the best ending. I destroyed the mutant military base and the Children of the Cathedral, but not before they destroyed the Followers of the Apocalypse. Shady Sands founded the New California Republic. The Brotherhood of Steel helped the other towns defend against the mutants and shared their technology with New California. The ghouls of Necropolis rediscovered engineering, and provided their knowledge with the rest of the world. The hub dispersed before the mutant army and was never restored again. As for me, I was exiled. The Vault 13 Overseer decided it would be too dangerous to live with them again, because that would make others want to leave to Vault to. Exiled, I decided to take a journey north. See you in Fallout 2!

On a side note, it seems Ninja Gaiden was the least of my problems. My DS malfunctioned. No portable gaming until I get a replacement.

The first of the three busy weeks was over yesterday so I decided to take a break playing the new Final Fantasy for the DS. I started playing yesterday and continued all through the day today. I’m writing this while watching the ending! What can I say, I love Final Fantasy. It took me a little over nine hours, and I have to say it is one of the shorter games in the series, but that doesn’t make it any less good. The game has voice-overs which are much better than the ones in Luminous Arc. I loved every minute of the game and I have yet to try the multiplayer (which I have a feeling will rock). Well then, off to the next game. I’ll be adding a list of the games I finished while writing this blog to the site soon. Oh, I still net to finish Nethergate I guess (I think I’m near the end there to)!

EDIT: The end was a fake one. The classic “bad guy dies, but not really” situation. I had to fight a boss with each character alone, and then kill the same bad guy again. This time he took a stronger form, and I after I took his health to zero, I had to quickly cast a few spells to finish him. I didn’t do this in time on the first try so he revived with full HP. I got him on the second try though so it’s really over now.
