Early this morning (a couple of minutes after midnight) I completed about 3 or 4 more quests. This unlocked a bunch of items at the Bazaar, including some class specific robes which allowed me to learn some nice passive abilities. Mostly, I’ve been fighting the undead, with some Duelhorn quests mixed in. My main character learned all of the available Parivir skills, and is now training as a Paladin.

I played it in the morning for a while. I did a few quests, none of them related to the main story. I unlocked a few nice items at the Bazaar including the Masamune. My main character is now level 40 and will soon be switching to the Parivir class. I’m going to train him as a Paladin/Parivir with a Ninja level every now and then for the speed. My Nu’Mou is now an Alchemist/Sage, and that is what he will probably remain as for the rest of the game. I have a Gladiator/Defender Banga, but I’m not sure if I should replace him with a Monk/Master Monk. One of my Vieras will be a Red Mage/Summoner and the other a Sniper/Assassin. I also have a Moogle Thief/Juggler which is there just for stealing and disabling opponents with daggers.

EDIT: I completed a dozen more quests, one of which unlocked the Scholar job. I probably won’t be using it since it’s more a gimmick then a real job. My main character however, finished learning the dual wield ability and is now a Parivir. After learning most of the Parivir skills, I will make him a Paladin to learn that skill set to. My Viera Sniper now has all the prerequisites for the Assassin Job, and has already mastered the two Assassin abilities I had available. She is now a Sniper again. I will probably replace the Assassin skill set with the Archer one when fighting undead, to use the Burial ability.

After completing a few quests, including two that unlocked the Spellsword and Master Monk classes, the Auction season started again. I managed to become Champion for Life in both regions on the new continent. I also got a bunch of extremely nice items, one of them being a Ninja sword that grants the Dual Wield passive ability. I immediately put it on my main character.

I did a few quests today, most of them without battle. I’ve also recruited a Seeq and a Gria. Now I finally have a Ranger to solve the “Wanted: Sidekick” quest. Off course, I dispatched him right away. Nothing else of importance happened.

EDIT: I did a few more quests, most of them non battle types. I did advance the story tough. A bunch of my characters learned a bunch of new skills, and most of them now have their end game jobs (at least one of their end game jobs).

Supreme Commander (PC)

I’ve been playing this mostly today. I only did a few missions in the first campaign, but it took about four hours of my time. I noticed that it’s to just build a small army and use it to protect my engineer group that in turn builds turrets and pushes forward that way, then to only use the troops for offense.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (DS)

I’ve also played this game for a while again. My main character finally became a ninja, and I have advanced the story further, meeting Vahn and Penelo on the way. I’ve also unlocked the Chocobo Knight class.

I played this for a while today. I solved a few quests including one I couldn’t before because I didn’t have a Green Mage. My character is now level 38. He’s leveling slower because I’ve been mostly solving Clan Trials which don’t give much experience. He is one skill closer to becoming a Ninja tough. I haven’t played much because I didn’t have the time, but I will be playing more tomorrow.

I had to go to bed early yesterday, so I woke up early again. I’ve been playing FFTA2, and have done a few of the clan trials. My clan abilities are now maxed out, and I got a few nice clan privileges. The one I will be using the most is probably the “Bonus AP”, since it makes learning skills a whole lot easier. I also got “Regenga” which heals my units every turn for a fair amount of HP. I’m going to take a break now, and will continue later.

Another few hours invested. I advanced the story, and solved a few side quests. I think it’s about time to start planning my endgame party, so I trained a Viera Archer/Sniper, and a Nu’Mou Sage. My main character is currently a Paladin/Fighter, but right now he’s training as a Thief to unlock the Ninja job (so I can improve his speed and learn a few useful skills). My Summoner started learning red magic to supplement her summons. My Banga will probably be a Defender/Gladiator with a few levels in Trickster for speed. My Moogle is a classic Thief/Juggler, so he isn’t very useful in battle, but I use him for loot stealing. I’m also training a Moogle Fusilier just in case.

EDIT: I’ve collected all the star coins from the third and the fourth world of New Super Mario Brothers. I’ve also found all of the secret passages on the map (including all the cannons). I haven’t played Final Fantasy…

EDIT2: Just cleared the fifth world of New Super Mario Brothers…

EDIT3: World 6 cleared!

So after another long break, the summer has finally begun. I got a bunch of games I missed trough last year, and I’m currently catching up on TV shows I missed. I recently finished New Super Mario Brothers for the second time. Right now I’m collecting all the gold coins I missed (the first two worlds are cleared). I’m also playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, currently about 25 hours in, and nowhere near the end. I’ll try to get some work over the summer, so I can pay for my tuitions (and maybe invest in some new entertainment gadgets), but mostly, I’ll be playing games. I will also try to turn my blog in to a daily routine.

EDIT: I invested a few more hours in FFTA2. It’s really a great game. I managed to become region champion in all regions of the starting continent, and I did a few item auctions already. I got a Genji Helm, and a few other nice items. My main character is now level 36, and I’m planning to train him as a ninja for a few levels, because he’s really slow right now. I also tried Civilization Revolution for the DS. I like it, but it could have been better. I really hate the constant animation stuttering. It’s pretty obvious that the DS wasn’t the primary platform.

The first of the three busy weeks was over yesterday so I decided to take a break playing the new Final Fantasy for the DS. I started playing yesterday and continued all through the day today. I’m writing this while watching the ending! What can I say, I love Final Fantasy. It took me a little over nine hours, and I have to say it is one of the shorter games in the series, but that doesn’t make it any less good. The game has voice-overs which are much better than the ones in Luminous Arc. I loved every minute of the game and I have yet to try the multiplayer (which I have a feeling will rock). Well then, off to the next game. I’ll be adding a list of the games I finished while writing this blog to the site soon. Oh, I still net to finish Nethergate I guess (I think I’m near the end there to)!

EDIT: The end was a fake one. The classic “bad guy dies, but not really” situation. I had to fight a boss with each character alone, and then kill the same bad guy again. This time he took a stronger form, and I after I took his health to zero, I had to quickly cast a few spells to finish him. I didn’t do this in time on the first try so he revived with full HP. I got him on the second try though so it’s really over now.
