I managed to save the queen and even thought I’ve convinced her and Alistair to marry and affirm their chances to claim the throne. Alistair and I got ourselves captured, bud trough some clever disguises and persuasion, we managed to escape and return to Eamon’s estate. After this, I went to the elven alienage and destroyed a slaving operation which was organized by Loghain. This was all the evidence I needed to get the nobles on my side. The Landsmeet started and, after being cornered, Loghain challenged me to a duel. I defeated him easily and then got the option to recruit him into the ranks of the Grey Wardens. Alistair made it very clear that if I do that, he will be gone, so I chose him and Loghain was executed.

With the nobles on my side and the army assembled, everything was ready for the final assault. The horde went for Denerim and, since the army, due to wrong information, assembled at Redcliffe, when we got back to Denerim, It was already under assault. I managed to kill 2 of the Darkspawn generals and then assaulted the tower where the archdemon was. It was a lengthy battle, but in the end I managed to defeat him with only Alistair and the protagonist left alive. Thanks to Morrigan’s ritual, I survived the final blow and that was it. Game completed! It took me over 60 hours, but it’s finally over.

Not much to say about the game. It’s a standard Bioware RPG. Not as much polish as the older games or Mass Effect, but fun, with a good story and an interesting system. Who knows, I might even return to it one day to complete the rest of the achievements. I recommend the game to any fan of western RPGs.

Since now I suddenly have lots of time on my hands, I managed to clear the Orc and the Night Elf campaign in one day. Again, it feels easier than the first time I played it, but at that time I was still new to RTS games, as my only gaming experience at that time were consoles. Anyway, since the original was done, it was time for the expansion.

Again, this one was completed pretty quickly. I decided not to do the bonus campaign as it really doesn’t say anything about the story.  Other than that, there’s not really much to say about Warcraft 3. It’s a Blizzard game, so it’s great. At this point, I think it’s pretty safe to say that about any Blizzard game. I can’t wait for WoW to continue the story in Cataclysm.

This one was installed Saturday afternoon and completed on the same evening. My DSL was dead the entire day so I didn’t have anything else to do. There is only one word to describe this game, the same word I used for the first one – EPIC! Epic story, epic gameplay, epic graphics, epic music, just EPIC! The only thing that isn’t epic is the duration, but in my opinion that is a good thing. Instead of making the game longer with more repetitive gameplay, this way, every second of the game is fun and exciting. It makes it feel more like watching a great movie than playing a game. Anyway, can’t wait for the next one! Big recommendation!

I have to admit, I’m a sucker for Gothic style games. This one has all the fun of Gothic  1-3 with the graphics of the third game and without the crappy engine. I installed the game and played it exclusively until completion. It has its quirks, but all in all it was a great experience. Hopefully this won’t be the last of the genre.

I got and installed this one a few days after Half-Life.

By playing an hour or so almost every day, I managed to complete it yesterday.

It’s a very nice FPS.

The game brings nothing new to the genre, but it does the tried out things very well.

I did have one problem though. It seems I was supposed to get a new power in the Hospital level which is a level about 75% into the game. However, the game didn’t advise me to get it, nor did it stop me from completing the level without getting it.

Since there are no manual saves and the game uses only one auto-save slot, I got stuck at the last boss of the game. It seems this ability was necessary here to kill the boss. Sadly, I had to edit my save game to add the ability. I added it on its base level and without any upgrades so it didn’t give me any advantage, but it still felt a bit like cheating. Sadly, the only other option I could think of was to start the game from the beginning.

I don’t think this is a common issue as I’ve been googling it and have found nothing, so I still very much recommend the game to any shooter or Wolfenstein fans.

Since I completed Wolfenstein yesterday, I installed this game today and managed to complete it about an hour ago. It’s a nice little puzzle platformer with some excellent graphics and a great and interesting story, although I don’t think I understood the story part completely. Anyway, I don’t want to spoil anyone so I will not talk about it. I think by now pretty much anyone knows about the game so there’s no need to say much.

I installed it yesterday and completed it today. I never had the chance to complete it before as I always seem to have had issues regarding drivers or some other thing. This time, the game worked flawlessly. It’s quite a lengthy game for a shooter and is definitely one of the better shooters I played.

This one I bought on steam for 2.79€ and installed it right after I finished the first game. I also managed to complete it right away. Being an episodic release, it was naturally much shorter than the original, but it was still very good. I’m looking forward to playing episode two, but that will have to wait for a few weeks as the orange box is cheaper in store than on steam at the moment.

I installed this game shortly after finishing Overlord II and played it occasionally until today. Today, I’ve completed it! What can I say about it? If you’ve played the original Secret of Monkey Island, you will know this one. It’s the same game with updated, hand drawn, high resolution beautiful graphics, music and voices. You can even switch to the original version with the push of a button. If you like adventures get this one and play it. It’s packed with witty puzzles, great humor and perfect atmosphere.  There were moments where I was literally laughing out loud.
